Extraction, texture analysis and polysaccharide epitope mapping data of sequential extracts of strawberry, apple, tomato and aubergine fruit parenchyma

چکیده
The data included in this article are related to the research article entitled “Disentangling pectic homogalacturonan and rhamnogalacturonan-I polysaccharides: evidence for sub-populations in fruit parenchyma systems” (Cornuault et al., 2018) [1]. Cell wall properties are an important contributor to fruit texture. These datasets compile textural and immunochemical analysis of polysaccharides of four economically important fruit crops: tomato, strawberry, aubergine and apple with contrasting textures and related taxonomical origins. Cell wall components and their extractability were assessed using characterized monoclonal antibodies. In addition, textural data obtained for the four parenchyma systems show variations in the mechanical properties. The two datasets are a basis to relate cell wall composition and organization to the mechanical properties of the fruit parenchyma tissues. & 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Inc. Disentangling pectic homogalacturonan and rhamnogalacturonan-I polysaccharides: Evidence for sub-populations in fruit parenchyma systems.
The matrix polysaccharides of plant cell walls are diverse and variable sets of polymers influencing cell wall, tissue and organ properties. Focusing on the relatively simple parenchyma tissues of four fruits - tomato, aubergine, strawberry and apple - we have dissected cell wall matrix polysaccharide contents using sequential solubilisation and antibody-based approaches with a focus on pectic ...
متن کاملفرمولاسیون ماست میو های تهیه شده از شیر تغلیظ شده و بررسی کیفیت آن در طی زمان نگه داری
In this study, the effect of “Osmodehydrofrozen” fruit addition on sensory, physical, chemical and microbiological properties of concentrated yoghurt and its quality during storage was evaluated. This research was done in two stages. At the first stage, fruit percentage, type and addition time (before and after fermentation) was determined. The results indicated yoghurts containing 10% apple or...

متن کاملIdentification of Linked Markers for Delayed Fruit Ripening in Tomato Using Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) Markers
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is an important vegetable crop and acts as model plant for fruit development studies. Besides that, post-harvest damage is a devastating phenomenon often associated with ripening process in tomato which in turn leads to greater yield loss. Understanding the genetics, molecular and biochemical pathways is the key to overcome the existing situation. In th...
متن کاملAntioxidant effects of strawberry fruits at two phenological stages
Background & Aim: Strawberry (Fragaria vesca L.) is a plant belonging to the Rosaceae family with medicinal properties, including antioxidant activity. The present study aimed at investigating the antioxidant properties of strawberry. Experimental method: To examine the antioxidant effect, fruit extracts at two phonological stages of growth (ripe and unripe strawberry) were prepared. ...
